The spatial resolution of current and future ground-based telescopes is
limited by the optical turbulence of the atmosphere. An
interdisciplinary conference of astronomers, meteorologists and
atmospheric physicists to consider the study, characterisation and
correction of atmospheric turbulence is reported.
