We request renewed observations of the unique high-mass binary pulsar system PSR J0045-7319 in the SMC. Our long-term Parkes observations of the system have revealed interesting dynamical properties including classical spin-orbit coupling between the pulsar and its rapidly rotating B star companion. Here we request renewed timing observations to address issues raised in recent and continuing optical observations designed to measure the system's mass ratio and constrain important properties of the companion.
