The equilibrium and associated relaxation times in a stable, axisymmetric, constant Q disk of N-body particles are measured from the time rate of increase of Toomre's Q. The recent suggestion by White(1988) that two-body relaxation in two-dimensional simulations is not always negligible is tested and found to be a major cause of heating of the system. The results of experiments designed to test the validity of the White conjecture and to determine the effect of various simulation parameters on the equilibration process in two-dimensional simulations are discussed.
