Relativistic Fluids: Space-Time, Relativistic Fluids: Cosmological Models

Scientific paper

This paper deals with fluid space-times within the framework of general relativity and subject to a metric symmetry (self-similarity and conformal or conformal collineation). Via the investigation of the kinematic properties of such fluids, it is shown that the conformal collineation symmetry plays the important role of smooth transition at the boundary of a change in the fluid pattern (such as shear-free and isotropic to distorted fluids). As applications, it is shown that the study is relevant to the radiationlike viscous fluid Friedman-Robertson-Walker model, with the conformal collineation symmetry vector parallel to its tilted velocity vector.
