A theoretical analysis is presented of the spatial structure of relationships between external and internal parts of baylike disturbance fields as a function of the depth of the conductor and the type of source. The analysis is based on numerical modeling of equivalent current systems with consideration of their reflection from high-conductivity zones of the earth. As an example, attention is given to primary and secondary components and their relations for a linear quasi-stationary ring current flowing along a latitude of 70 deg at a height of 100 km. The earth is represented as a geoelectric Lamb model with an ideally conducting core.
