It has been known for some time that galaxy star formation rates are directly correlated with environmental overdensities (eg. Gomez et al. 2003, ApJ, 584, 210).
Blanton et al. (2004, astro-ph/0310453) found that color and luminosity capture most of the interesting dependencies on environment (local density) out of the luminosity, surface brightness, profile shape, and color.
Building on these previous results, we measure the clustocentric distances of ˜ 120,000 galaxies in the redshift range of 0.05
