The interstellar column densities of Al II, Si II, S II, Fe II, N II, and Zn II in the direction of 18 O- and 6 B-type stars are studied so as to improve the relations of element depletions with E(B-V) and to look for other possible relations with two stellar parameters: namely, the rate of mass loss and rotational velocity. The stars were chosen in order to cover several directions in the Galaxy as well as a wide range in interstellar reddening. A clear inverse trend is identified relating the abundance of elements to interstellar reddening.
