Trapped nonadiabatic charged particle motion in two-dimensional taillike magnetic field reversals with arbitrary curvature radii is studied. It is shown that the type of trajectory is dependent on a curvature parameter representing the ratio between the minimum curvature radius and the maximum particle Larmor radius. Consideration is given to the breakdown of regularity and charged particle motion in a sharply curved field reversal. The basic equations for describing particle motion in sharply curved fields are derived. The applications of the research for magnetotail physics are discussed.
