An algorithm is developed for refining the parameters of the axisymmetric version of a multipoint geopotential model. The parameters are refined by using information on secular and long-periodic changes of the ascending node longitude, pericenter argument, eccentricity, and inclination. The algorithm allows for degenerate cases associated with ill-defined matrices.
