The mass-radius relation of the main sequence was reexamined using 171 components of 88 double-lined detached binary systems with well determined absolute dimensions and masses. Empirical relations for the ZAMS were obtained and compared with the theoretical models. The positions of the other 27 semidetached binaries in the log M - log R diagram are also discussed.
