The paper examines data reduction techniques employed in the domestic Japanese VLBI system. Attention is given to determinations of antenna and radio source positions, observation time, and delay time correction associated with atmospheric refraction. Methods for reducing such VLBI data as delay time, phase difference and coherence, are examined; fringe stopping is also considered.
