Scientific paper
The paper proposes a direct method for reducing double-beam observations
of extended radio sources to the equivalent single-beam data. The method
involves the solution of a set of linear equations, which becomes unique
by applying suitable boundary conditions. The method is compared to the
Fourier transform method.
