The general evolution model of quasar luminosity is presented, and it is noted that there could be a physical reason why quasars undergo luminosity changes at redshifts equal to about 2. The redshift limits of various evolutions of quasar luminosities caused by magnitude limits are analyzed, and two peaks at 0.5 and 2.25 are observed for redshift number counts. It is pointed out that when quasars formed, the luminosity was growing continuously until its maximum value at redshift equal to 2 + alpha, where alpha is less than or equal to 0.6 or greater than or equal to - 0.1. The break of luminosity function is caused by the evolution of quasar luminosity, and different evolution processes are prompted by quasars originating from the different situations of magnetized cosmic plasma.
