Recently, some cosmologists who disagree with the standard model gave the Big Bang model a severe criticism and suggested their own model as an "alternative view". A brief review on it is presented in this article, in which among the issues discussed are those concerning the cosmic microwave background radiation, noncosmological redshift, evolution of discrete celestial objects, and some points about the alternative hypothesis itself.
