Renewed activity from the transient X-ray binary pulsar 2S 1417-624 was observed by the BATSE instrument between August 26, 1994 and July 7, 1995. The BATSE observations consist of an initial outburst that lasted over 110-days, and five smaller outbursts which followed. During the initial outburst the pulse shape systematically evolved. We show that this evolution is inconsistent with the pulse profile being entirely determined by the mass accretion rate. We have determined the 2S 1417-624 system orbital parameters by assuming that the accretion torque is correlated with the observed hard X-ray pulsed flux.
