A Rb-87-Sr-87 analysis of some enstatite meteorites is considered. It was shown that whole rock type-I and intermediate enstatite chondrites plot on an isochron of age a value of 4.508 plus or minus 0.037 b.y. and the strontium initial ratio of 0.69880 plus or minus 0.00044. This isochron is identical with the whole rock isochron for H chondrites, and is interpreted as the time of condensation of the solar nebula. The Sr-87/Sr-86 ratio in the nebula was homogeneous, and the Rb/Sr fractionation between the various chondrite types appeared shortly before or during condensation. 'Internal isochrons' for Indarch, Saint Mark's, and Saint Sauveur chondrites showed straight lines of 'age' and 'initial ratio' which did not result from leaching by liquids or terrestrial weathering. The Indarch and Saint Sauveur 'isochrons' can be mixing lines between enstatite and feldspar, and type-I and intermediate-type enstatite chondrites have been shocked 60 to 200 m.y. after their formation.
