We prove that (under the assumption of the generalized Riemann hypothesis) a
totally real multiquadratic number field K has a positive density of primes p
for which the ray class field of conductor p has an explicit description as the
Hilbert class field H of K adjoin the real number \zeta_p + \zeta_p^{-1} if and
only if K contains a unit of norm -1.
