Nowadays video coding systems are extremely efficient and data transmission channels have higher throughput. That is why the size of a coded sequence is not the only criterion of video encoder rating. The efficient usage of transmission resources is becoming very important problem what force us to look at the rate control algorithms. This paper presents test results of using basic rate control algorithms for multiview sequences. Also some modifications are proposed to make those algorithms more efficient in hardware implementations.
