Five-color standardized photometry of the totally-eclipsing Algol binary U Sge in primary eclipse has been obtained from 1978 to 1981. Light curves show evidence of small brightness variations in the subgiant, and of some transient mass transfer. Among 16 Algol-like binaries monitored for about two years, U Sge is unique in showing radius changes of ±2% to 3%, probably in the cool subgiant.
