Low background gamma-ray spectrometry has been used to determine the activities of gamma emitters contained in a 0.185 kg sample sliced out of the Bogou iron meteorite that fell on 14 August 1962, near Bogou, Republic of the Upper Volta. The following results were obtained: 54 Mn 483 ± 40 dpm.kg -1 , at time of fall 22 Na 0 ± 4 60 Co 14 ± 7 44 Ti 3.8 ± 3 26 Al 4.3 ± 3 40 K 9 ± 6 These results are discussed and compared with those obtained by different authors on Bogou and on other iron meteorites. An upper limit for the exposure age (0.9 × 10 9 y) has been computed from the 40 K and 44 Ti contents and the ratio of 40 K to 44 Ti production rates.
