We aim to image at cm wavelengths with a high angular resolution (~ 2'') and with great sensitivity the Carina Nebula. These observations will characterize the nature and evolution of the material around Sun-like stars in an environment that may well be an analog to our own birth-site. We will measure the mass loss rates directly from these Carina objects and compare them with those in Orion, in order to understand how the extreme environments play a role in the evolution of these objects.
