We report the results of a radio survey of a large, complete sample of Seyfert galaxies. At radio wavelengths our view of the nucleus is unaffected by dust and we are able to compare obscured and unobscured central engines equally. Our resolution allows us to use elongated radio structures as small as 40 parsecs to infer the position angle of the central accretion disc directly. We find that there is no apparent difference between the two Seyferts types at radio wavelengths. Both the luminosity distributions and the size distributions of the two Seyfert types are statistically indistinguishable. The first of these results indicates that the radio-generating engines in the two types are very similar. The second result appears to be contrary to the simple unification model which predicts a difference in size between the two types due to projection effects.
