We predict that Earth-like planets in close orbits around magnetic white dwarf stars can produce an observable radio signature by analogy to planetary radio emissions produced by the electrodynamic interaction between Jupiter and its largest moons Io Europa Ganymede and Callisto. We examine formation scenarios for white dwarf planetary systems and present a simple model to predict radio flux densities based on the electron-cyclotron maser emission mechanism. Detectability criteria for Earth-like planets orbiting white dwarfs using existing and next-generation radio telescopes are discussed.
