Sanamian and Arutiunian (1977) concluded that there is a physical connection between compact groups of compact galaxies and radio sources. In order to test their results, the present study considers the distribution of radio sources in the neighborhoods of compact groups of compact galaxies; radio sources listed in the 4C catalogs, the Bologna catalog, the Ohio Sky Survey, and the Greenbank Survey were used. No statistically significant excess of the real number of radio sources over the value expected for random distribution of the sources over the sky was found, which shows the incorrectness of the conclusion drawn by Sanamian and Arutiunian.
