We present the results of observations of the radio continuum emission of nine elliptical galaxies. We have VLA radio continuum data and IRAS 60 and 100 micron fluxes for all. From this data we determined that five of the nine ellipticals sit on the radio continuum-FIR relation defined by star forming spirals. This is good evidence in favor of star formation activity within these ellipticals. However, the total fluxes themselves are not enough to understand the relative contributions to the radio continuum by an AGN. Therefore, the five galaxies have also been detected in CO at six arc second resolution using the BIMA mm interferometer. Comparisons between the CO emission and the radio continuum emission of these galaxies show that they share relatively the same spatial extent. This strongly indicates the radio continuum emission is associated with star formation, since star formation typically occurs in large molecular complexes. We intend to improve the comparisons of four of the five galaxies by obtaining B configuration data which will better match the resolution of the CO observations. This project is supported by a grant form the National Science Foundation.
