Blue Galaxies
Scientific paper
In this paper, we study the galaxies published in the catalogue of Serrano et al. (1996). More than 10 percent of the optical objects show radio emission at frequency 1.4 GHz. 70 percent of them are active galaxies characterized by a colour excess in the blue. These sources are rather faint at radio wavelengths and identified with bright galaxies (11m - 13m). These galaxies have compact nucleus and spiral arms or irregular filaments. More than half of them are identified with infrared sources. The radio emission of the central part of these galaxies has been observed.
