In the framework of SU(2)L×SU(2)R×U(1)B-L gauge models we calculate the lifetime for the decay χB-->χA+γ where χ denotes a Majorana neutrino. We find that if CP is conserved, the right-handed currents can significantly alter the lifetime from the SU(2)L×U(1)Y estimate only if χA and χB have opposite CP eigenvalues. In the see-saw model of neutrino mass, even with the most favorable choice of parameters, we get too long a lifetime to detect the photon flux coming from the decay of the neutrinos in the cosmological background.
