An improved calculation is given for the probability for radiative transitions between hyperfine levels in atomic hydrogen (H), deuterium (D), tritium (T), and He-3(+). The calculation includes the effect of the first-order radiative correction to the intrinsic magnetic moment of the electron and the effect of the coupling of the outgoing photon to the magnetic moment of the nucleon/nucleus (as well as to the electron's moment). For H and D, the new A-values are approximately 1% larger than quantities that are currently in use; the new value for He-3(+) is approximately 3 times larger than the quoted number. The derivation of the rates is by elementary methods, but the results are accurate to approximately 1 ppm, that is, to six significant figures. A brief discussion is also given of the lines' Zeeman splitting and intensities in the individual components.
