A method for estimating the order of magnitude of rate coefficients of radiative-association reactions involving polyatomic species is outlined. Calculations are undertaken on reactions of possible importance in dense interstellar clouds. Several of the calculated rate coefficients are utilized in a study of the gas-phase syntheses of H2CNH (methanimine) and H3CNH2 (methylamine).
