The corrected Rosseland mean opacity is suggested which differs from the commonly used Rosseland mean opacity by more than 1 percent. Two extreme cases are discussed in detail: (1) the case of a giant core mixture with no hydrogen, and (2) the case of almost pure hydrogen. For the giant core mixture in the temperature range from about 10 to the 8th K to about 10 to the 9th K it is found that the correction is about 5 - 10 percent for the Rosseland mean opacity equal to the condition opacity. For the almost pure hydrogen mixture, it is found that in the temperature range from about 5 x 10 to the 6th K to about 5 x 10 to the 7th K, the correction is the same.
