The detailed spectral and angular characteristics of the radiation emitted by electrons streaming at relativistic velocities within an electron ion plasma and being driven by a large-amplitude longitudinal plasma wave are calculated with a view to the possible occurrence of such processes in pulsar wind zones. The frequency dependence found agrees with the known radiation characteristics of a certain type of relativistic oscillator but deviates substantially from those associated with transversely accelerated charges.
