An infinite homogeneous atmosphere with a plane uni-directional source is considered. The reflection coefficient ρ for such an atmosphere is studied. A numerical method for the computation of ρ is suggested and the efficiency of this method is estimated. Some results of computations for the Henyey-Greenstein phase function with different anisotropy and absorption are given. An asymptotic formula for ρ in a nearly conservative case is obtained.
