Scientific paper

The authors present some data on variations in the radiation characteristics of solar proton events as a function of phase in the solar cycle obtained by comparison of the radiation characteristics of solar proton events during solar cycle 22 with similar periods during cycles 20 and 21. They construct probability distributions for the radiation characteristics during cycle 22, and carry out a comparison with model distributions for the rising phases of cycles 20 and 21.
