We study the nonadiabatic evolution of nontopological soliton stars (scalar and fermion) in the thin-wall approximation. For the scalar case the space-time within the star is assumed to be self-similar and both (extreme) mechanisms of radiation transport (diffusion and streaming out) coexist. For the fermion star only the streaming-out regime will be present. In the scalar case transitions to the static regime are allowed only for surface potentials equal to 0.25. For fermion solitons (once the external pulse has passed away) all models tend to the stationary regime, which is characterized by the asymptotic value of the surface gravitational potential equal to 4/7.
