The radial velocities and spectral profiles of CH Cyg are studied using 102 spectrograms covering the period between May 1982 and December 1985. The absorption components of neutral and ionized metals, the Ca II K line, the molecular band TiO 495.5 nm, the forbidden and permitted Fe II lines, the Balmer series H lines, and the He lines are discussed in detail. The problem of mass transfer, the radial velocities of absorption lines, the existence of an external envelope of the binary system, and the slow expansion of the accretion disk envelope surrounding the hot component of CH Cyg are examined.
