We present a measurement of the radial expansion of the X-ray remnant of SNR 1987A . We characterize the images from 6 years of Chandra monitoring with several simple models. We find correlations between the radial expansion curve, the X-ray lightcurve, spectral evolution, and morphological developments. These correlations include an event beginning 6200 days after the inital SN indicating the progress of the blastwave reaching and enveloping the surrounding circumstellar ring. These measurements are ideal tools for following the continued evolution and probe of the surrounding environment.
