The ENVISAT platform, launched this year, is capable to reproduce simultaneously a crossed polarization components of SAR reflected signal. It may be used for precision construction of sea waves intensity images. On the base of known ideas about small wind waves modulation by large waves, both (parallel and cross) components are calculated for vertically polarizated reflected signal. The value of these components depends on wind waves slops dispersion only. Some errors caused by taken model and others factors are analysed. Applied for high resolution SAR, that gives the possibility to observe a wave structure, the proposed method have certain adventures in comparison with NSCAT or QUIKSCAT scatterometers.
