Narrow-band photometry of the close binary system Beta Lyr in the H-alpha line, together with absolute calibration, reveals quasi-periodic fluctuations in the emission of the gaseous circumstellar structures. The radiation flux varies by a factor of 1.5, with a quasi-period equal to 1/7 the orbital period. The effective radius of the gaseous ring surrounding the massive component of the system is estimated to be 1/3 the distance between the center of the two stars.
