Quasi-satellite orbits (QSO) are the trajectories of restricted three-body problem which are (1) located far beyond the Hill's sphere surrounding the minor primary body and (2) much less distant from it than from the major primary. The specialties of QSOs make it reasonable to consider them as a separate class of trajectories. Their long-term evolution analysis is based on averaged dynamic equations. Some aspects of QSO's stability are studied. Many of them are stable. Different applications of QSOs in astronautics, both actual and potential, are based on their stability. For the first time QSO was used in the PHOBOS project. A new application is planned for the REGATTA-ASTRO mission. Both orbits are presented in the paper in some detail.
