The lower mass limits for the halo population were computed with three-color photometrically observed density functions starting with the galactic center. The limits were compared for different models of halo density distribution assuming that they are symmetrical with respect to the galactic equator and the rotation axis. Low metallicity is a sufficent, but not necessary, criterion, since restrictions such as spatial confinement of the observation data to an ellipsoidal zone concentric with the galactic system are severe; the absolute magnitudes are limited to the M(G) intervals of 3.5 and 7.5. The derived masses are also low, falling into the range of 4.6 x 10 to the 8th to 8.1 x 10 to the 8th for the two models of halo population.
