Astrometry: Space Geodetics, Plate Motion
Scientific paper
The relative motion rates and motion types of the Global active plate boundaries are obtained from space geodetic data, and the annual amplitudes and phases of the seasonal variation of GPS height whose distributions depending on the latitude are detected. In addition, the expansion of South hemisphere and compression of North hemisphere are derived from space geodetic measurements respectively. All these show that the spatial position and geometric shape of global tectonics are symmetrical while the tectonic feature is contrary------namely asymmetry of the Global tectonics.
