A method of qualitative investigation of the static spherically-symmetric solutions of the Einstein equations is suggested. The main properties of the solutions may be studied by this method even without solving the field equations. This way the author studied all possible cases for arbitrary constants m and n in the solutions generated by matter with non-vanishing components of the energy tensor.
