Fourier analysis techniques are applied to investigate the noise variability of two X-ray pulsars observed with EXOSAT, EXO 2030+375 and SMC X-1. In the power spectra of EXO 2030+375 a peak was detected and interpreted as due to Quasi-Periodic Oscillations (QPOs). The observed QPOs strength, frequency and frequency-luminosity dependence are in agreement with the predictions of the beat frequency model for QPOs. In the power spectra of SMC X-1 a highly significant turnover for frequencies lower than 0.01 Hz is present. This indicates a preferred time scale of approximately 100 seconds in the source variability. A single burst-like event lasting approximately 80 seconds is probably a manifestation of the source activity on this sort of time scale.
