During March/April 1984 Her X-1 was observed in a series of 10 pointings spread approximately evenly through a 35 day cycle. Pulse profiles and source spectra obtained during the on and short on state were analyzed. It is suggested that the interpulse of the 1.24 sec variation is caused by a reflection of the primary beam from the inner edge of the accretion disk or a disk corona.
