Records of the geomagnetic field for periods preceding solar proton flares in early August 1972 and early July 1974 are analyzed. Quasiperiodic pulsations are identified with periods of 20-200 min, and these intensify sharply before flares. Components of the fluctuation power spectrum with periods of 65, 90, and 180 min correlate with analogous pulsations in solar radio emission.
