We examine the effects of rapid rotation on the pulsational stability of low frequency oscillations of rotating main sequence stars of M~5Msolar, in which the low frequency modes are excited by the iron bump opacity mechanism. We find that the rapid rotation tends to stabilize the low frequency g-modes because of coupling with stable g-modes in the same frequency ranges. We also find that rapid rotation of the star stabilizes retrograde g-modes more strongly than prograde ones, and that the rotational deformation enhances the stabilization effect.
