Quasi-periodic pulsations of the light emitted by meteors during part of their flight in the atmosphere have been reported several times in the literature. The analysis of the data of pulsating meteors is consistent with the hypothesis that the meteoroid's diameter is approximately inversely proportional to the pulsation frequency: D(m)=6/f Hz. This relation might provide a new and independent method by which to determine the size and the ablation coefficient of meteoroids during their flight through the atmosphere. We suggest that the quasi-periodic pulsation of the light of a meteor is the result of an instability of the flow about the meteoroid.
