The main subjects in this review are: pulsation, binarity, Sierra Nevada Observatory (SNO), uvbyβ photometry, simultaneous photometry and coordinated observing campaigns. Altogether these aspects lead to fruitful results in the fields of pulsation, binarity and, in particular, in the investigation of eclipsing binary systems which include one pulsating star as one of their components. Some advantages of the uvbyβ photometry are revised within the framework of normal stars, eclipsing binaries and pulsating stars. Additional advantages are supplied by simultaneous photometry and collaboration through coordinated multisite campaigns.
