Simultaneous spectroscopic and photometric observations of the pulsating CP2 star Alpha Cir were obtained with high temporal resolution. Whereas Stromgren photometry clearly corroborates the known pulsation amplitude and frequency, success was not achieved in detecting spectral variations due to non-radial pulsation. An upper limit of about 100 m/s was determined for possible radial velocity variations.
