The density and velocity fields of the previous paper (FMI) are used as sources for the construction of new `derived' magnetic and electric fields. The requirement that the electric field be qualitatively acceptable over most of the magnetosphere limits still further the allowed parameter range. The equatorial sheet currents yield a marked distortion of the magnetic field from the simple form adopted in FMI. The derived electric and magnetic fields are used to construct the particle velocity vectors in the dissipation domain. Over the bulk of the domain the magnitudes of the circulatory and rotatory components agree qualitatively with those adopted in FMI. The trajectories are found to be very sensitive to the precise structure of the electric field. In particular, to ensure that none of the trajectories - fixed by our derived fields - terminate in particle sinks, the distribution of poloidal current must be constrained into a form which does not allow smooth link-up with an accelerating, non-dissipative field-aligned flow out of the star. Further developments of the model will require (i) modification of the magnetospheric gap so that it closes up at the finite stellar radius, and (ii) replacement of the simple but arbitrary domain adopted for the non-circulating positive charges by a self-consistently constructed distribution; the electric field should then yield satisfactory trajectories over the whole magnetosphere, and an associated current field satisfying the boundary conditions at the star.
